Ancestral Teachings
I created "Ancestral Teachings" to represent how inspirational my grandmother is. My grandmother is a proud Wamba & Barapa Elder and through her lived experiences and teachings she has been able to pass down valuable knowledge about my Aboriginal culture. Being the strong woman she is I have chosen to make this piece about her. The centre piece is represented as her, whilst the surrounding coloured sections represent her ten children and the knowledge that has been passed down through generations.

This painting represents unity — all people and all tribes coming together to support one another during difficult times.
Created during the COVID period, it reflects a time when many were struggling and reminds us of the strength found in community, connection and togetherness.
